D. Karen MareadyAssociate
D. Karen Maready is an associate in Cooper's San Francisco office. Ms. Maready's practice includes corporate & securities transactions, tax and estate planning. She advises clients on a broad range of matters, including formation of entities, daily operations, mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Maready also continues her established work in debt and equity financings of Internet and biotechnology companies and employment law matters. She has also represented abused and neglected children in juvenile court civil cases. Ms. Maready attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill from 1992-1994 and graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University-Hawaii (B.A. 1996). She completed her final year of law school at Wake Forest University and graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law (J.D. 2003). Prior to law school, Ms. Maready worked as a community college English instructor and as a paralegal. Ms. Maready is a member of the State Bar of California and the North Carolina State Bar. She volunteers as a mentor to high school students with the San Francisco Law Academy, and is also active in her church where she is a teacher. |
