Cooper lawyers represent employers in a wide variety of labor and employment cases, including discrimination, breach of contract, wrongful discharge, defamation, libel and slander, labor code violations, sexual harassment, retaliatory discharge and others. Our primary goal, however, is to prevent lawsuits before they happen, through training managers and supervisors on the legal obligations of employers, drafting employment handbooks, procedures and policies, counseling clients through difficult employee situations and instances of employee complaints, and advising clients of the latest developments in this rapidly changing field.

Our lawyers also provide service in the union environment, including collective bargaining agreements, contract negotiation, advice on responding to organizing campaigns, and representation at grievance proceedings and arbitrations.
